I went to New York City over the summer and it was AWESOME!!!!! There are many great places to eat, see and breathe in! 🙂
Now let’s delve right into my amazing experience. My trip starts off in New Jersey. It’s an area with nothing much to see. But of course, I had fun because I saw family and all that, nothing much. Then I got a good night’s sleep. So I would be fresh for tomorrow’s journey to…. drumroll please (optional)….. NYC.
The next morning went by quickly. We drove for at least an hour or two until BOOM! We were there. We dropped our bags off and then we went and had a light Cuban lunch. We got some desert from a macaroon shop and the came back to the hotel for our room.
Later in the day, we took a tour of Central Park. It showed us New York’s history and age.

The next day we visited the Statue of Liberty who is green actually because after a long time, copper turns green. I got to climb up the stairs spiraling inside of her. I also visited the immigration center on Ellis Island.
But, hardest tour to get through was the NYC walking tour. I walked for nearly 3 hours! But it was worth it in the end. I saw the Twin Tower’s Memorial, Little Italy, Chinatown, and I got to go on the subway ride!
The flop of the trip was when I went to the Discovery Center’s Star Wars Exhibit. All there was to see were the costumes from Star Wars all lined up.
On our final day there we went and saw the MET Museum. WOW! Their egyptian art collection is big!
The NYC trip came to an end as we got a car rental and drove up to Boston. During our trip, I stopped by at a family friend’s house and I went to the famous UCONN Dairy Bar.
In Boston, we saw one of my dad’s colleagues and I also got to see the really big Harvard campus.
I loved this vacation. This could compete with other vacations I have had but this one wins for now!
Visit New York or else you are missing out on a lot and I mean a lot.
